Global Business is a hot topic. Whether you are a seasoned business professional, concerned consumer, or aspiring business executive -- the reach and volatility of the global business environment affects us every day.

Rob has designed speaking/seminar agendas for two distinct types of audiences interested in Global Business.

Objective:

Expose the aspiring or just curious student to the world of global business. Rob excites them with the possibilities and challenges that they will encounter as they enter the professional workforce whether they will work diretly a global business career field or be a participant in the global economy

Sample Topics Covered:

» What is "Global Business" and how does it affect me

» Introduction to key global areas (legal, language and communications, negotiations, etc.) and how they differ from the U.S. market

» Case study examples of companies doing it "right" and "wrong"

» Rob's personal stories of "wins and losses" that have occured in global board rooms

» Skills that students can develop to become a global business executive

Examples of Speech/Seminar Excercises:

» The students are asked to take out their i-pods or music capable mobile phone and they are "informally" surveyed on the amount of "free" music their devices contain. Through this exercise they learn what is "intellectual property", how IP threatens "somebodies" profit margin, and some of the tactics global companies undertake in order to protect their IP.

» The students are presented with a value proposition to sell one of their mobile phones and through this exercise they discover the dynamics of global negotiations as we discuss key topics like payment terms, currency risk, delivery and acceptance, warranty, etc.

Speech/Seminar Duration:

The content can be tailored to fit within a range of time constraint options:

» High Level Overview: Ranges from a quick 20 minute overview with associated powerpoint presentation to 3 hour meeting that would include 1 to 2 exercises depending on the size of the audience.

» Comprehensive Seminar: Ranges from 2 hours to full day with associated powerpoint presentation and case study exercises depending on the size of the audience.

Objective:

Engage and challenge corporate executives to look differently towards global business. Rob draws on his years of experience and authentic business situations to guide executives through a methodical thought process with a goal of "winning" in the global business environment.
